| | A poetry on Table Tennis | | Today I have read the poetry on Table Tennis, written by John Nay, A Lover of The Game. This has published in creationscience.net. Here it is:
More Than A Game
You wait for the day, you’re so anxious to play.
The day comes at last and you drive to the club quite fast.
It’s just a game, some would say,
they do not understand, because they do not play.
More than a game, whatever the name.
Whether Ping Pong or Table Tennis, it’s something within us.
We love to compete in what’s more than a game.
Golf and archery just are not the same.
There’s hype in the air as we survey who’s there.
We pick our opponent with forethought and care.
We head for the table to our opponent disable,
with game plan applied, if we are able.
The rally begins with a toss of the ball.
You crouch and you focus and watch the ball fall.
He tops it, you block it!
He loops it, you chop it!
He pushes and drops it.
You slip... | |

| | Singapore Women’s Team - World Team Table Tennis Championship 2010 Champion! | | At the recent concluded World Team Table Tennis Championships held in Moscow, the women' s table tennis team from Singapore had just created a major and historical upset by beating the world's super power in this sport - China.China, the reckoned powerhouse in this sport for both the men and women as well are shocked by this year's Singapore women' s team and must have been stunned with this result.I do not think no one including team Singapore would have anticipated this outcome and victory. Especially, when they have been last beaten by China at both the 2008 World Championship and Beijing Olympics with 3-0 and 3-1 margins, respectively. This time round the tables are turned and this team from a tiny red dot on the globe had beaten team China with a reverse margin 3-1.It is a really much awaited victory for Singapore and definitely a sweet one. So, a heartiest congrats to team... | |
| | | What is your favourite sport? | | Please tell me what your favourite sport is. Mine is basketball and I am currently in my school basketball team. But I also enjoy playing table tennis with my family. Although I enjoy table tennis, I lost to my dad miserably (11-3) lol.Colin | |

| | Racket Games-Which are you? | | There are many racket games to choose from. The strong-armed will go for tennis and the nimble and the swift-badminton. Then, the fast and the fury will take up squash. Those who like a strategic racket type game played on a table will choose table tennis or ping-pong.For me, When I was younger, I played badminton.I get tired easily and so its the doubles for me.I played squash for some time but it is absolutely taxing and you must be on your toes all the time. Table tennis is more for relaxation but there are show-off s in this game out to get you.I never did understand tennis especially how the count to win a game. Do you play racket games. How often do you play them and why do you like them? | |
